Arctic Wolf Pup
Parisian fashion illustrator, created a lookbook for fellow Parisian fashion and accessories specialist Pierre-Louis Mascia. I have personally kept a very close eye on fashion illustrators due to my work at illustration agency Folio Art, unearthing Nabil Nezzar in the process. What caught my attention with Alexandre was the idea of a lookbook, something that the creatives of Pierre-Louis Mascia will have to take credit for. Now looking back it almost seems surreal why every fashion illustrator hasn’t done this so far.
The geometric lines and shapes of the clothes are beautifully complimented by the smooth fabric and colours of the scarfs, arguably the centrepiece of the design. The illustrations them self are arguably a tad uneven in places, take a look at the hair in the first portrait. Each individual hair is there, it feel real, the light shimmers across it realistically but then compare it to pencil work on the back of the second portraits clothing.
It looks rough and very sketchy, thought this is obviously a purposeful and thought out artistic choice. Perhaps it is to reflect the materials or to make the scarfs above it look even more sleek and soft? Either way Alexandre clearly possesses a talent that very few people own and many others wish to obtain. 7
